Can I try your cakes before I book in my wedding cake?

You are more than welcome to sample some cake before committing to a booking by ordering one of my cake taster boxes for £30.

The box will contain 5 of my most popular flavours and some delicious biscuits.

Orders over £400 will have the value deducted off their final payment.

Can I have a consultation before booking?

Although I only hold consultations after a booking has been made, I am more than happy to have a quick chat on the phone if you would like a little more information before making a booking or simply to know I am human and not a cake bot! I am only able to offer consultations on orders over £300

Do you hire cake stands?

A cake stand can really make a cake look even more fantastic so I currently have a range of cake stands available for hire for between £20 and £30 with a £50 - £100 returnable deposit (depending on the stand) which can be used with any order over £100 (cake stand to be returned to Kinson with all packaging included, in the same condition and within the week following the event).

Ask for details when enquiring about your cake or during your consultation and I will recommend which I feel would be perfect for your showstopper.

Do you deliver?

I really would recommend that you let me set up larger cakes for you, so you can have a completely stress free day.

I cover Dorset and the South West.  Locations further afield may be possible so get in contact and I will see if I can help.

Delivery is charged at 75p per mile plus £15 per hour in delivery time from BH11 9DG

For example a venue 12 miles away taking 30 mins to reach would incur a £33 delivery charge

Deliveries will be before 12pm or charged an additional £25 for later deliveries unto 4pm

(Please note, wedding or celebration cakes of more than 2 tiers will need to be delivered. I promise you delivering tall cakes is a scary business!)

How big are your tiers and portions?

I like my cakes on the tall side here at The Diamond Baker!  There is something so elegant about a taller tier! A wedding portion would be cut to 2" x 1" x 3" slices (I suggest cutting my cakes horizontally for wedding slices) and are a perfect size for an evening reception or as an additional yummy extra to your day. A party portion is 2" x 2" x 3" and is an ideal size to have as the dessert or pudding or of course as a celebration cake.

Do you cater for allergies?

All cakes and bakes are made in a kitchen where ingredients such as flour and nuts are in constant use, so although I are more than happy to accommodate intolerances, unfortunately I can not make allergy free cakes.

Do you cater for allergies?

Unfortunately at this time I am only able to cater for gluten intolerances and dairy free cakes alongside my standard cakes.
