About The Diamond Baker | Dorset Cake Designer

Hi there, I'm Tash!

Thanks for stopping by my site!  The Diamond Baker is my little slice of the internet. I will be the one you chat with about cake designs and ideas, assembling and decorating your cake and delivering/setting up on the day.

It's so lovely to meet you!

To be a part of some of the most important celebrations in peoples lives is always an honour and I sometimes pinch myself that making wedding and celebration cakes is my full time business! I adore being able to keep in touch and see where my couples and clients end up.

My background

I have always had an artistic background, from an art based college diploma to a Modelmaking degree at university making props for tv and film.

My love of cake making happened fairly organically when I realised being a Modelmaker wasn't for me and started making cakes for friends and family.

Being a Modelmaker had its advantages.  I am a massive perfectionist and have worked hard over the last 8 years to hone my craft and am always learning new techniques.

The film and tv industry is a pretty renowned for being throwaway and not particularly eco friendly, so I love that I can steer my own business towards being as sustainable as I can make it.

Striving to make my business sustainable

Where my flowers and produce come from is really important to me and using incredible local Dorset businesses and high quality ingredients I feel makes my luxury cake business stand out.

All my organic dried flowers come from the amazing Brothers Farm,

My edible flowers are either grown and pressed myself, pesticide free or bought from the wonderful Polly's Petals right here in Dorset.
